Mr. Dai Chong, Secretary of the Lanxi municipal party committee of Zhejiang province, visited CCM

On February,14, 2023, Mr. Dai Chong, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province, and his entourages visited the CCMg to exchange and negotiate cooperation. Prof. Pan Fusheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairman of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, and honorary director of CCMg, met with the visitors, accompanied by Prof. Zhang Dingfei, director of CCMg, Prof. Jiang Bin, executive deputy director of CCMg, and Prof. Chen Xianhua, deputy dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering.

At the symposium, Academician Pan Fusheng first delivered a speech to welcome the visit of Mr.  Dai Chong and his entourages. Afterwards, the two sides introduced the participants, Mr. Dai Chong briefly outlined the current situation and development ideas of Lanxi industry, and said that Lanxi City will focus on the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries based on key words such as innovation, reform and opening up, and implement the "1458" development strategy system to accelerate the construction of Lanxi into a "typical industrial city in the new era". As the main position of Lanxi new material development, magnesium materials are the focus of industry-university-research integration, and also the main layout direction of high-tech zone. Mr. Ling Junfei, deputy director of the management committee of the high-tech zone, immediately made a report on "magnesium good Lanxi, science and technology blessed land - thoughts on the development of Lanxi magnesium material industry". Deputy mayor Xu Zhengfei introduced the construction status of the Yangtze River Delta (Lanxi) Magnesium Materials Research Institute of Chongqing University, and elaborated on the current problems from the aspects of the Institute's operation system, talent attraction, project declaration, etc., hoping to strengthen the all-round normal contact and cooperation with the CCMg to promote the efficient operation of the Institute.

Academician Pan Fusheng also put forward suggestions and future work priorities of the Institute of Magnesium Materials. Academician Pan pointed out that magnesium materials are facing unprecedented development opportunities, we must unify our thinking, focus on promoting technical services, platform construction, achievement transformation, talent training and publicity, give full play to the role of the Magnesium Materials Research Institute, provide better technical services for Lanxi enterprises, and attract more high-quality magnesium materials related enterprises to invest in Lanxi to help Lanxi economic high-quality development. The two sides also held specific discussions on the Institute's system construction plan, talent attraction measures and project research, and clarified the direction and path of work.

Zhejiang Lanxi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government values the cooperation with Chongqing University in the field of magnesium alloy. In order to promote the cooperation between the two sides smoothly and efficiently, the main leaders of Lanxi City have visited Chongqing University many times to exchange and discuss with the team of Academician Pan Fusheng. The two parties have confirmed to jointly hold the International Magnesium Science and Technology Award Ceremony and Magnesium Material Industry Summit Forum in Lanxi in March 2023.
